I made a wallpaper in Photoshop and saved the PSD file to my hard drive. I didn't do anything differently then I usually do when I save a file. When I went back to open the file it said it was locked and to use the 'properties' feature in Windows Explorer to unlock the file. I went in Windows Explorer and right clicked the file and selected 'properties' but I don't see anywhere to unlock the file. Do any of you have an idea of what could be the problem? I have tried and tried to unlock this file. Your help is greatly appreciated. Andy |

Right click on the file in explorer, click on properties. Then at the bottom it will say "Read Only" and there should be a checked box there. Just uncheck it.

I check that already and Read Only wasn't checked. Man this is frustrating. Andy

I'm just guessing and I'm gonna say you saved that file to your "desktop"?????? I have had exactly what you are explaining happen but only if I save .psd files to the desktop of my Win98 machine. they way to fix that: start up in safe mode....move that file to a folder like "my documents" and restart. |
