Can anyone direct me on how to create text in a wireframe effect?

Photoshop is not the ideal medium for creating wireframe effects. To complete the task in Photoshop would require a lot of manual work.
Your best bet to complete it in Photoshop would be to find a 3D font and start tracing with the pen and/or pencil tool(s). You may even be able to find a 3D wireframe font if you do a Google search.
