How do you make custom gradient using Photoshop 6.0? As in, selecting specific colors to make into a gradient?

Just select the desired colors as the foreground and background colors (two little squares under the tools window) and click on the gradient button... it'll have your selected colors there..

I think you can chance you gradient layer colour when you click to gradient button.When you click there you will see a colour button on the toolbar of this tool.Chance colour as you like there.But sorry if you don't see that because I use PS 7.0 and didn't use PS 6 before so I don't know it has this tool or not
