I installed some True Type fonts on my machine the other day and I noticed that Photoshop does not include them in its list of fonts. Other True Type fonts that I installed in the past are recognized and included. Is there some way I can get Photoshop to "see" fonts when it does not do so on its own? I sure would like to be able to use the fonts with Photoshop. I know that some of the ones I installed worked on previous versions of PS. This seems almost random and it is quite puzzling to me. Anyone know what to do? Thanks... James |

are you using photoshop 7? if so....... sometimes fonts go in no particular rder in that list..... try looking right at the end of the list or in the alphabetical positioning.... but then it might have named itsewlf a short name and so you arent seeing it thats all i can think of |

Did you open your fonts folder and click on the fonts? Sometimes they don't install right away.

If other programs like Word and such do not recognize the fonts, then they've probably not have been properly installed. Sometime XP is b!tchy with fonts so that you'd have to go into Control Panel, open the Fonts folder in there, and then drop the fonts into there (when you see a dialog box that says something along the lines of 'Installing font <font name yadda yadda>' then you know it worked). On the other hand, if the fonts ARE recognized by other programs .. .. then I have no clue. :T |

Thank you for your answers. But the problem was just an oversite on my part. All the fonts are there now. There was some question if the computer had been restarted or not... Well today it was. And guess what? the fonts were all there. eh, scuse me....? |
