It's this really great filter you can download from www.warez.com..... Just press a button, and there you have it!

Actually, it takes some patience and talent, like ps6user said. Lots of layers, lots of blending modes, lots of blurs. I don't think there is a tutorial on talent, so you may want to practice some. And since you're subject said you needed help quick (!).... Good luck.

yeah, im a big fan of that type of work aswell. though im not an expert so i can only give you a little bit better explination on how to do it. first of all when you look at the splash page you think its really nice (so does everyone else). though the key to doing it is lots of layers, blending the layers, and using the blending options (like overlay, screen, colour dodge, colour burn, etc.) I've been trying to do this for a while.

I have found that if you just try making it on your first try it wont look so good, on the second probably not much better, third maybe a little bit of a difference. but the thing I've found is that if you work at it more and more you can notice your work is improving. just like the only golden rule, practice makes perfect. so i'd say try using lots of layers with different blending modes.

Well really my first try was so close im not sure if it was right though i made simple little crystal shapes it took about 30 layers just for that and also the image i made was smaller than that I also had to change the opacity and like u said mess around around with the blending modes all together it was about 40 layers but its worth it. Im getting really close to this type of techinique. Like ps6user and deker said it is taking some time to do this

Im most likely going to up date this thread with something like the splash on that page

As said before, lots of layers using different blending modes etc.

But also, something that hasn't been mentioned is the use of photos. You can scoot around for free online stock photo archives such as istockphoto.com or even EndEffect.com which now has an archive.

You just have to have an eye for these things, plus experiment.

Enjoy...

I think mr danforth has an archive of answers because I've seen him write that exact same answer to a question I asked about that style of art.

As for telling you how to make that kind of crazy stuff, I'm in the same boat you are. im struggling to get it, but its coming along.
