I want to have a semi-transparent GIF. I mean the background is transparent but I have a layer above it with a 75% opacity. When I save 4 web it removes the transparency. Anybody got any tips?

in PS6 just delete the background layer so it looks like your image is just floating above those graY and white squares and use save for web.
Also:
you must save in .gif format and must check the transparency checkbox.
