I have an image that isn't evenly lit. The left side is darker than the right. I want to apply a curve to the image affecting one side more than the other. I've been trying to do this with adjustment layers but have had no success. Any help would be appreciated!

Adjustment layers are the right way to go. Just add or change the adjustment layers mask to suit your need. Either use a radial gradient or a linear in the mask. I prefer radial...cause it gives a little more realistic lighting. Also for a simpler solution....add a new layer (above your image) and use a brush (large....very low opacity..like 8%) to paint white. Then just set the blending mode (overlay) and tweak until u are happy with the lighting. Hope that helps |

Yes it does -what I was trying to do was set the curve from the menu rather than from the layer itself. Thanks! |
