I can't get greys to work right, they always appear reddish.
ex. I'm most used to hexidecimal code, so normally I would use 757575 for like a mid-grey... but when I use this in Photoshop it looks red, and gradients do the same thing. I made a black to white gradient and the center is pinkish-red.
It's driving me crazy, anyone know how I can fix it?

Because photoshop is the only thing it does it in.

Are you sure you're in RGB mode?

Photoshop is a color-managed application...meaning it works in its own color space, and can exchange mathematically specific information about color with other color-managed applications as well as to and from color managed hardware.

What you need to do is recalibrate your monitor with the Adobe Gamma Control Panel.

Or read all that. :p

I have no idea really. I created a black/white gradient in RGB and one in CMYK and the CMYK gave me a reddish hue in the middle. :p

How do ya'll think I learned this stuff?

Asking to be spoon-fed simple answers?

I think I've invested more money into the contents of my bookshelves than in my hardware.

Well I put it in RGB and fooled around with the monitor settings some and finally got it to where it's at least looking grey instead of pink, thanks everyone.
