Hi

I want to make a set of icons for my website, but I'm not too sure how to go about it, using photoshop. I want to make icons that are full 16-24bit colour - like Mac icons (not same style, but those kind of nice icons).

Do you have any tips or even better some good tutorials, etc? Thank you.

Zoom in all the way and draw things pixel by pixel.

That would take ages! It would be okay for simple icons, but I want mine to be smooth (i.e. gradients), and semi-3D.

what do you need help with?
Use gradients for 3D stuff, blabla, any way you'd do it in big size. Just do it small, and clear enough so you can see the details necessary even with the image being icon-sized?
