I need to know how to create a texture that will follow the shape/path of an arc, the letter c for example?

I have created a texture already that is a rasterized rectangle, and I want to apply that same texture to an arc so it follows the path not just "stamping" it on like applying a pattern to it.

Thx

Heres a couple of options for ya...
One
1. Insert a text layer - the letter c (use large font size)
2. Then go Layer/Type/Create Work Path
3. Create a new layer and hide the original 'c' text layer
but you should still see the 'c' path on your document
4. Select 'Path Selection Tool (A), right click on your 'c' path,
choose 'Stroke Path', and from the list choose 'Pattern Stamp'

Two
1. Insert a text layer- the letter c (use large font size)
2. Then go Layer/Type/Convert to Shape
3. Right Click on the 'c' shape layer and choose 'Blending Options'.
4. Select Stroke/Fill Type/Pattern (choose your stroke width) and hit ok
5. Back to the 'Layers Palette' set the 'Fill Opacity' to 0% and that should leave you with the pattern following the letter

Three
1. Insert a text layer- the letter c (use large font size)
2. Ctrl + click on the text layer to select it ( indicated by a marquee)
3. Create a new layer while the selection is still active, and hide the original 'c' text layer
4. Select/Modify/Border, I used a width of 10
5. Choose the 'Paint Bucket Tool (G) with the 'Pattern' option selected up on the 'Options Bar', then with the 'Paint' tool still active click on your document to fill it with your desired pattern.

just a few options, and I hope they helped, and I'm sure theres tons more ways of doing it...

cheers

Thank for the info
but, I've tried those ways but all of them use a pattern
which doesn't seem to follow the shape of my "C".

Check out this link.

All I want to do is take one of those vertical texured bars and bend it,
into the shape of the "C" logo.
