I've created a text image and now I want to create a "sparkle" on the corner of one of the letters. Basically a sunburst effect. I'll swear that I made one on accident in PS5, but now I can't figure out how to make one in PS6. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Matt.

a few different ways you could make sparkles, you say you want something like a sunburst? then this is how you make a sunburst. -create vertical lines across your screen on a new layer any width you like -then simply ctrl+A to select the whole layer or select wherever you made the vetical lines, then Filters>Distort>Polar Coordinates. Make sure its on "Rectangular to Polar". thats a sunburst then just feather it off adjust transparency or blending modes as you wish the other can be done simply by making a brush with sort of an X shape to it. look around lotta tutorials. |

hey i found a good tutorial on a sparkle, the way i told you yesterday is a sunburst i'm not sure if you really mean that thats what you want, if it is then great! there is a tutorial here www.screaming-art.com that is about a sparkle, this one looks a lot more like a true sparkle of of..say crystal for example. from that main page go to "learn" and then the tutorial is right in there. goodluck, ask if you still need something. |

would have edited my last post, but couldn't.. (ps6) 1. press b to get the paintbrush. 2. click the downarrow by the image of the paint brush to get a larger view of all brushes 3. click the left circle arrow to get the menu, then click on the assorted brushes it should load a whole bunch of new brushes, then look for the sparkle brushs.
