Ok heres my situation...I've had Photoshop for a while, and have played around with it and have never beenable to do what i want to do I want to use a background that i have saved and put a pic that i also have saved, over that background and edit it.......now.....I can't seem to put the background and the pic on the same page.... I open the background, and i then open the pic...it says they are different layers and wont go on each other?? I"m not good w/ layers so i probalby dont know much......but please guys if ya could help me out i'd be greatly appreciative Thank you...........my email is [email]l_j_a_y_l@yahoo.com[/email] if you would like to give me instructions or by replying here thanks in advance again...its probaby basic..but i have no clue..sorry :( |

Are you saying you want one object from one image over the background of another? if so... pull out the eraser tool and erase everything but the object you want to keep =]

You can copy an image from one window and paste it onto the other ... sound familar? You do it all the time, from your web browser to a word processor for example, same situation. If the file you're pasting to is saved with an Indexed palette, you'd need to switch the color mode to RGB and such so that Photoshop can add new layers. When you paste it in, it's automatically put into its own layer. |

I've somewhat figured out what i need to do...I need my regular pic i want to use.......copy it....and move it onto the background.......and do from there thanks tho guys!! I appreciate it |
