In Photoshop Open the picture. Press CTRL-SHIFT-U. Then press CTRL-U and click the COLORIZE box. Then adjust colors to your liking. I would open up your sample picture right next to it to get a near perfect match. |

Another techinique is to convert the picture over to a duotone, then choose Black and a Sepia tone. Or leave the image black, create another layer with the sepia colour and set it to overlay. As you can see, there are many ways to colour an image. MJ's way is probably the most common and its great for finding surprising colours by accident. Edit: I just did it MJ's way and used the Settings Hue:29 Saturation: 30 Lightness: 0 and it came out pretty bang on. My eye may be a bit off, but that should be close, try starting with those numbers there. |
