I just installed Photoshop CS and except for my tool pallet, all my shortcuts are dead. My actions work but only by actually clicking the action button, not by the asigned keys. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, RichyRich

If you have a genuine copy then I would advise you ring Adobe or use the techincal support on their website. If you would have researched this you would find that the overwhelming reports of shortcut keys not working are from cracked versions supplied by Paradox. If you have a genuine version, then un-install the application and remove any registry entries pertaining to it. Then re-install. This should clear up any problems with the install (or has done in many cases). As I say look at the Adobe Forums or Google Groups for the answer to your problems. If a cracked version then maybe you will have the sense to kick yourself in the nuts for not getting a liscenced copy and then with your nuts still smarting look for a more recent update to your problem! |

ME: I have to say though, I think piracy helps adobe in the long run. YOU: How bitch? ME: Well, I'll tell you how. Everybody who's anybody (and/or a nerd...points at himself) gets PS and uses it. Legally or illegally. Now in most cases, people who pirate it are not willing and will not spend $100+ on PS. But the important part is that they are using it. They get used to using it and start to like it. So now they want to start a business (points at himself again, and no, I never pirated it, I got a paper route) and they have to buy it because of the threat of software audits. So Adobe never loses money from people who would never buy it anyway, and people who would buy it but pirate it anyways get used to it and then when they want to make $$$ for the bling bling from imaging (yes, that's right, it ryhmes) end up buying something they would have not purchased if they had not gotten their "unlimited trial" in the first place. All this is helping Adobe PS maintain itself as the standard image editing software, both in the business world and for teenagers. An entire generation of graphic designers is growing up with these tools and they will not want to switch software and will recommend the software they are familiar with. Sorry if my argument is not very coherent, 'cause Moby is distracting me. |
