I just have a quick question i have my new fonts droped in my windows/fonts folder and wen i open Photoshop the fonts are not there??? any help would be appreciated... Thank you |

They should be. Try refreshing the font folder first? And be sure to "reboot" PS too. |

xp home and 7.0 my other appz like word, illustator and etc cant find the fonts too |

In order to install fonts on XP you need to go to Control Panel -> Fonts. If you manually drop them into your font's folder ... well, that's not where XP looks so no luck there.

All I have to do to get my fonts working in XP is drop them in the Fonts folder in System. Never had a problem getting them to work. Do you have both the Postscript file and the screen preview? If you don't have the screen preview, then those suckers won't work. There should be two things with each font. Also, go out and buy Adobe Type Manager or its equivalent. Works wonders in keeping the fonts straight as well as speeds up loading time. I know with Font Reserve Broswer for OSX, the program will scan for new fonts and put them in the right spot. |

see you (I) learn something everyday ....thank you for your replay as soon as i opened my fonts folder in control panel it transfered all the fonts that i manually droped into windows/font folder now it shows up in my font chooser Thank You !mo0chan! |

When I install fonts on my XP, I have to unzip the font somewhere, then in the font folder go "file/install new font" in order to get it to work in PS or any other proggie for that matter.
