What is the best way to create an "inked rubber stamp" look? I realized that you turn it into a bitmapped tif and colorize it in a layout program. I am mainly interested in ways to "weather" or "stress" bitmapped logos, etc. Is there a filter or is it done by manually? Thanks, James |

Hi James. You can of course achieve it in Photoshop. You can try to add a bevel layer style, and then use one of the noise filters to age it. Never really tried to make a rubber stamp look, but just thought this may work. -TheWatcher DragonFrost Graphics |

have a look at adobe's studio exchange, there's an action somewhere there that will give you this kind of effect, I trashed it so I cant remeber but just do a search. It works great, this is what I used it for... http://b3design.ch/BB(flyer).jpg

You can do this also the handycraft old fashioned way, by drawing your basic stamp shape in Illustrator or PS....print it out....get some Tipex, load the brush up and dab off excess on a tissue, then with the half loaded almost dry brush, dab like mad and roughly over your basic shape......then simply rescan and voila! :D |
