New to Photoshop....was wondering how to incorporate an image (I'm getting a logo designed for my business) in my header. Header is here: www.tcustomgolf.com/index.htm Someone designed the header for me in ps and I want to replace the golfer and ball on the left of the header with the new logo image (should come in gif, jpg and tiff format). I already changed the font in the business name and url by overwriting it, but want to know how to replace, or overwrite the existing image with the new logo image... Thanks to all... |

hmm okey... Open your image called tcg-header.jpg in photoshop and make it green for example... choose green and press Alt + backspace...then put the logo on it... And upload it again |

Actually, I do have it in .psd format. Not sure I follow.....do you mean highlight the picture (golfer and ball) with let's say the rectangular marquee tool, then color it green, then place the new image over it? |

In that layout on that site all the images are .gif or .jpg... So if you don't have the images on your computer download the http://www.tcustomgolf.com/images/tcg-header.jpg and put it in photoshop and paint put the logo on that image you have on the left side... And put it back up to the net... Hmm or maybe there is something else I don't get with this question ? |

No, I think you have got the jist of my question. As I mentioned, I do have the header in photoshop format (a .psd file), but is it just easier to just edit the .JPG file?? And being a newbie to photoshop, I guess I'm looking at the steps to "paint" as you say the new logo over the existing picture. thanks 4 ur help!! |

yes much easier to just use the .jpg and make a square on the golfer...color it with a color (Alt + Backspace) and put the new logo on there. Did you have the logo? Or are you trying to figure out how to do that too? |

Logo is being developed. Will be available in GIF, JPG, and TIFF format. So is it a matter of putting the logo image as a new layer and placing it where I colored in the golfer?? How is that done.....with a File/Open....then?? |

But if you have the .psd, use that one. If you use a .jpg it will get compressed again when you save for web (which starts to really degrade the image.)
