Advanced effects

Where should I go to learn advanced effects? I mean that for graphics that have this futuristic look to it... I just don't understand how it's done.

Teamphotoshop.com... or any of the 30 or so sites in the Resources forum is a good place to start.... Or searching for photoshop tutorials on google.com. Or buying a book on photoshop....

Not very simple...

You must eat, breath & sleep Photoshop.

Master the Layer styles, know every single aspect of it.

Memorize a few advanced layer style tutorials.

You'll gain a sense of what to expect with different settings an thus be able to create what you want.
