ok, can someone tell me how to use a pen tool? i've gone to other forums, read the help... but it doesn't help... heh, i don't know how to get it to work, i click, and it makes a dot, then when i try to make another point thing in the line the line disapears. |

Use it like you are doing dot-to-dot.... click to anchor a point then move to where you want the next point... and so on and so on. check this out: http://designsbymark.com/pstips/basic_pentoola.shtml |

It's quite similair to the polygonal lasso tool. Just keep making anchor points around an object eventually comming back to the starting point. Use the "<" tool if you know how to use Bézier curves. This can be extremely useful in selecting curved surfaces. When you're all done, you can either fill the path by hitting the filled circle at the bottom of the Paths Palette, stroke the path by hitting the outlined circle, or make the path a selection by clicking on the dotted circle.
