I want to make my text and pictures appear as authentically destroyed as this: http://a1008.g.akamai.net/7/1008/521/1029/www.abercrombie.com/anf/lifestyles/art/wallpaper5_med.gif I was wondering if someone knew of a method, filter, etc. I could use to make my images appear as authentically destroyed. |

Search for "grunge" on this forum or on the internet, you can do wonders with Grunge Brushes that are readily available on the internet, or if you scan over the Resource section here, there is a photoshop brushes area. QTone is a good site to get grunge brushes.

Thanks guys- The brushes proved to be a big help and have sent me on my way. I can't believe I didn't think of using brushes sooner. Thanks for the help and the welcome. |

you could also print your picture.....light it on fire...crumble it up......rub it in dirt......scan it (or photograph... or etc) and use that to "texture" your image. Just set the layer mode to "overlay" or multiply. (this works well.....no joke lol) |

That is also a good way to create your own brushes, so that you have your own unique grunge.
