Very realistic wires |

Anyone know of a tutorial of making realistic looking wires (not just bevels)... like the onews at http://www.alienware.com

I do not see any wires on that site. Use the channels, make a new channel layer, make the shape of the wire you want, maybe with path tool, stroke with paintbrush at the size you want the wire. Then make it a selection on the channel layer, fill with white, gaussian blur until you see a nice gradient. Then gaussian blur again by reducing the blur amount to almost zero. Then go back to your layer, make the wire the color you want on the layer, a solid color. Then filter render, lightning effects. choose the channel layer you just made, and mess around with the lighting effects until you get something you like then add a little noise. to make ends, well that will be to much typing. But use your imagination Also do a search on yahoo, always search first. type in photoshop turtorial wires. mark used to have one let me see Nope mark took it down. But channels is how you get the realism |

Channels? Ok know of tuturials on channels? I know they are used for color or something like that.

no i see what he is talking about... all it is is shading bud.. you can look theres not textures no set border... its just a black line with white airbrushing..
