Is there a way to make your text a selection? That way you could give it a border but delete the inner part. Thanks, Nos. |

Click the text button and hold down on it. You should see a flyout menu with text selection tools. Edit: Well, depending on your version of PS. I think v6, when you click the text tool you'll see the options to change at the top in the Options bar. |

Well, take the text layer and rasterize it (right click on layer, choose rasterize layer). Then ctrl-click the layer. Voila. Selection shaped like text. Then you can make a new layer (with selection active), and do edit >>> stroke. |

If you've got v7 you can add a Stroke Layer style and set the fill on your layers tab to 0%. That way your text is still 100% editable.
