Hi guys... I want to make some really great textures for backgrounds of pictures. I was surfing around and I found that Britney Spears site has really kewl textures in her header pic's. Here is a link: Kewl Texture now in most of her header pics she has a red texture. It’s nice clean and sharp. Anyone give me some hints as to how to create the same affect? Thanks for your time, DD PS> I'm not a britney fan I just like the way they did her pictures in the header. :-) |

look for rust tutorials - make several rusty pics - then put them on layers and play around with the blending modes... or take a picture of some rust - or look for one on some photo site.... |

I just messed around really quick. I first set my forground to light red, and backround to dark red, then i did the cloud filter, add some monocromatic noise, then put it in liquify use the bloat tool. Then i ran artistic dry brush filter , brush size 1, brush detail 10, tex 1. THis gave me a good base to work from. Then i used the paint brush tool with a dry brush switched between the settings of dodge and burn for the paintbrush, and with normal some yellow over the top. |
