can`t load photoshop 7.0

I have been using 7.0 for about a year with no problem.
I turned off the computer and restarted it, and the reopened photoshop. It did it`s automatic file update and then a error message came up from windows that it was shutting down my computer to stop it from being hurt by dangerous files or something.
It restarted on it`s own and now, when photoshop is half loaded it disapears and won`t load.

Any Ideas?

Did you install any new plugins? Or anything third party for that matter? This sounds like something viral, or it could just be photoshop and a component are trying to do different things at the same time.

You have tried to delete the old pref's file, and you've gotten the update that came out sometime ago ?

If that do not work - Save your work on different location and install again.

Sounds pretty damn close to a viral situation, but what do I know ;)
