hey alls, i am interested in creating a realastic polaroid in ps. i have seen a few tut's online, but the end result is so blah, no real feel to it at all. anyone have a good tut or some good advice on how to achieve making a realistic polariod? thanks a lot! |

Is it really that hard? A polaroid doesn't seem like it would be. Black, White, Drop Shadow, Bevel&Emboss(maybe), very small amount of noise, lighting effects..pretty basic stuff. My advice for you is to make the white and black part of the polaroid on seperate layers and keep messing with each layer until you get a realistic effect. Good Luck

yes i have been playing with it a bit now, and i have found a tut for some scotch tape, so i am getting a bit more of an effect that i was looking for. thank you for your response

To make it look real it will need first a little texture, and also shadowing. When all else fails try adding just a tad bit of noise, that always adds a little realism. |
