adding a pic to my logo

This is probably super basic, I don't know. Can someone tell me how to ad a picture to the logo I'm creating in photoshop. I have a couple pictures of swords (gif. and Jpeg) and I want to add one of them to the logo I am trying to creat. How do I do that?

Eh...Hm...as usual it would be better if you posted the images you are referring to...Ie your logo and whatever you want to "insert"...

But without that, eh...Take a selectiontool of your choice select the "sword" copy/cut it out and insert it in the logo as an own layer...then experiment with layermodes/blends and opacity and stuff.........sort of...;)
