When ever I take a rectangle and use free transform > perspective and change it to anything not a 90 or 45 degree angle, the edges get all jagged and messed up. How can I make them without getting them all jaggy.

it depends on what your purpose is. If it's a picture I'd say make it smaller and cut some of the pixels on the sides. If it's a general shape you could smooth out the jaggies afterwards by blurring a selection channel...there's tuts on this. Just look for a tutorial on "smooth jaggies" you should find something

Work at a high res, like 300, then when you done put it down to 72, then save for web and reduce size to whatever you want. Also another neat trick is, make a selection around the shape, then go to chanels, fill in the selection with white, unselect. Then gausian blure to give it real fuzzy out line. Then go to image adustments levels. Move the left arrow and the right arrow towards the middle, see how the lines got real sharp? Problem with this is it rounds out the edges. It is really good for curve shapes. Then select the shape by holding cntl and left clicking on the layer, go back to layers, then paint inside the selection. |
