FTP = File Transfer Protocol HTTP = Hyper-text Transfer Protocol They are just kind of 2 different ways of transferring things through electronic means (the internet). You can use your Internet Explorer for FTP, but I suggest a good program such as SmartFTP, which is, in my opinion, the best on the market, and also free, which you cannot beat. If you look at the angelfire help, it tells you what to enter, and if you open SmartFTP and look at the spaces on the top, it's pretty self-explanatory. |

cupto - If you still dont get it, just do it in photoshop. Get the ruler up and drag guides where you want the slices to be. Then go to snap to grid and use the marquee tool to select a box that the guides made. Then just copy and paste it to a new document and save it. Thats what I ended up doing and it was 5x easier....but maybe thats just me....

OK I finally figured out how to upload with FTP and everything. So I uploaded my "images" folder to my website and I uploaded my HOMEbut.html... but it still did not work. Should I change my
img scr="HOMEbut.jpg"
to
img scr="HOMEbut.html"
or what should I do? |

Well your img src command is linking the images to your directory root. So either change the "img src" commands to:
img src="/images/img.gif"
Either that or save time and move all your images to your root directory. |
