Hi Photoshoppers,

I'm trying to create a dotted outline around a microphone in a picture. you can see the picture at www.pandamouth.org/electrical/photo.jpg if you like. The microphone is on a separate layer, so I can get a nice marquee outline of the image but don't know how to translate that into a line. I know how to make a dotted brush stroke, too, just don't know how to get it to nicely wrap around the microphone.
thanks!

-Select the microphone, then expand the selection(select> modify> expand).

-Convert the selection to a path in the paths palette

-Stroke the path with a suitable brush(http://graphicssoft.about.com/cs/photoshop/ht/apsdotlinepath.htm)

Hope this helps.
