One of many ways to achieve the follwing results...



An extensive tut on how to manipulate the facial elements in the above picture.

And using the almighty adjustment layers allows for total control and flexibility without damaging the original pixels.
A little delve into the use of the Pen Tool for smooth selections and use of the Extract Tool to separate difficult selections. (ie hair)

I enjoyed that tutorial.....especially the part with the extraction tool because I have never used it before (and I have been using Photoshop since v.3)!!!

Another beautifully written tut, great work! Helped me understand photo manip a lot better I used to just play with hue/saturation on hairs, etc.

That's an awesome tut there, thats one thing I never use the extract tool. And it shows too, I messed up the hair quite a bit, but I got the eyes, and lips out nicely.

I'm gonna keep practicing until I get the hair selection right.
