I made a tutorial - hope it serves someone
The template belongs to pank - I actually made it for TP - I only uploaded it on my site until pank decides if he wants to post it on TP or not.

This is a good example of a tutorial that doesn't show the reader how to produce an exact result. Rather, it shows tthe basics of a technique and urges the reader to experiment with the techniques to come up with their own variations.

This is the best kind of tutorial, in my opinion.

I might suggest that you expand on it, Mihai, making suggestions and showing some examples of other blending modes and other gradient styles. Perhaps make suggestions for other post-gradient processing.

Example: Try a whole bunch of Black and White radial gradients, applied in Difference mode. Then, Gaussian Blur a little. Then, Filter---»Stylize---»Find Edges. Instant Satin Cloth!

- I am glad you approve Utopian - it really means a lot oming from you - I tried to rovide a few examples at the end of my tut... I'll try and add some more maybe a few pics that include the gradient thing along with other techniques...
It was done in a bit of hurry - Sundays are the only days of the week susceptible of having a few free hours in a row:(

Another nice effect is - make some bubbles with "Chrome" set to difference - then Filter - Plastic Wrap - default settings -
here's a pic - I just modified the color after it was done
It can obviously be improved a lot

Cheers mihai this tut is great! I luv this tut much! Since I'm explorering the gradient tool myself, I just want to congrat your on that and say great job!

Side questions for Utopian23: Are you really a photoshop Robot as someone told me? I mean you seems to have boudless knowledge on just about anything computer related no offense. And yeah I know you are not a robot so it's just kinda stupid, I was just amazed and wanted to compare your knowledge to like a robot data base >> Beep
