tree bark

i have been searching for a way to do realistic tree bark in photoshop, but so fark have only found one tutorial that has been slightly helpful, but it didnt look exactly real, any help on how to do bark in ps would be very helpful, if this doesnt describe what i mean well enough, and you think you mite be able to help, just ask and ill try and reword it..

It's called PHOTOshop for a reason.

I'd use an actual photo. No sense in trying to reinvent nature.

yeah ok then...ill try with a photo, i do have one, but i dont think it will look as good as what i had hoped, bah, ill keep looking anyway and as a last resort use a photo...

i was bored...what can i say...i wouldn't have a clue how to make it look tree-ish...toodles

Try this one as well. With some mods, it can be made to look better then the tut.
