while were on the subject,i just designed a simple header for my website,i made it 800x130,so i thought it would fill the screen from left to right w/o any gaps, when i viewed it in my browser it looked fine(no gaps),when i got the chance to view it from a friends computer the header didnt fill the screen,it had equal size gaps on both left and right side.Is this something to do with photoshop? or my webpage editor(frontpage2000) thx in advance. |

Probably neither. I would imagine that he had his computer set on a higher resolution than yours. If the banner is 800 wide, it will fill a monitor set on 800 x 600. If the monitor is set on 1024 x 768, then it will not fill the entire thing because it is only 800 pixels wide. See? Unless that isn't what you meant... Post a link to the site and I'll tell you for sure.

Yeah, I can guarantee he was using a bigger display. I'm running 1024x768 and I have about an inch on each side. The image is centering itself in the frame/table, which, it seems is a good thing.

Ok I have a question, what happens if you make the image bigger than the screen does it make u scroll over left and right or does it just cut off?

If the image is a background image that is too large for the screen, it will cut it off. If it is an image in an < img > tag, then it will scroll the window.
