Hello I really need some help with this one: I'm using the gradient tool and want the foreground & background colours used as the gradient fill. (I've read in many manuals that the foreground & backgound colors are the default colours when using the Gradient tool) When I use it, it automatically uses one of the preset colours and I can't figure out how to use the two colours I've chosen - this is driving me MAD!!! :( |

Yeah you posted in the wrong section but thats OK - we'll get you sorted out. First of all, welcome to the forums. What you should do is click the gradient tool, then click the arrow next to the color chooser thing (thats the actual name for it :D ) at the top. It should look like a mini gradient. Then you can choose your colors from the drop-down list. Either that, or you can click the color chooser thing itself (instead of the arrow) and it'll let you choose exactly what color and opacity you want. But regular black-to-white should be there as a preset. If you want to get a little more advanced - you are able to make your own and save them so that they appear in the presets. Just click save and then type in a name and it will always be there. In the future - this forum is for posting artwork. For questions - head on over to the "advanced photoshop help" or "new to photoshop help" sections. And again - welcome to the forums. tom |
