No. You can't change the color of a lens flare. It's been asked here before, so do a search.

just adjust the hue/saturation of the lens flare once you make it also if you make it on a black background it should be easier then just set the layers blend mode to screen? or atleast I think thats right.. heh also, welcome to the forum ;) |

ok, i was able to change the color when the lense flare was in a picture by itself, but when i applied a flare to an image and then addjusted the hue/saturation the entire image changed. And it wonlt let my render a flare on a layer w/ nothing on it. So how do i change the color of JUST the lense flare and not the image itself? thanks |

to render a lens flair on its own layer create a new layer above your image and select edit>fill>50% grey. then render your lens flair on the grey layer and change the blending mode to overlay. you can then use the hue/saturation method to adjust the color of your flair. hope this helps! :-) |

Hey, I got it to work, but overlay made the flare much smaller and harder to see. It worked fairly well w/ hard light though. Thanks very much, I've been wanting to be able to do that for years. cyberdata2 |
