I am trying to learn how to use Photoshop at work. The version they have is 5.5, the problem I am having is that every picture I load has a pink and black tint to it. The pictures will load fine in the windows explorer browser. I looked in the manual but had to idea where to start. I know you guys are excellent at Photoshop and was wondering if you could tell me why my pictures won't appear correctly on the screen after loading them. I went to Image -> Mode -> RGB but it didn't change. I am opening .jpg files. Any help is appreciated. Thanks - - Bill |

hmm. Only thing i can think of is your in quick mask mode. Make sure your in standard mode. Look in the title bar of your document..it will say quickmask if thats the current mode. If it does say quickmask...then click on the standard button on the tool bar (below the colors...the square w/ a circle in it...the one of the left thats white) I say quick mask cause the defualt settings is 50% red (pink).

You need to re-calibrate your monitor with Adobe Gamma. Follow the links I left in the following thread, and your problem will be solved. And you'll learn some good, important info in the bargain. http://www.teamphotoshop.com/forum/vbforum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=17380 |
