Why didn't you just use Layer Styles to get the desired effects?

There is not a single effect you showed that cannot be done better with layer styles. You can align multiple drop shadows, you can easily change the color, you can change the noise present in the blur, you can change how sharply the blur tapers off, you can control the lightness/darkness and the properties of the inner/outerglow, bevel, or drop shadow.

And if you don't like it you can always go back and change it. Personally it looks like you went out of your way to produce lesser advanced techniques. I am not trying to be mean, just trying to help people find the most productive way to do thing and I think Layer Styles is much more effective.

Good tutorials, but just to let you know, it's spelled gaussian not guassian. (just on the forums)
