Lines

Hey! Thanks for reading this post:

I am very new to photoshop and I know it sounds funny but how do I make straight lines? Horizontal Lines? Vertical Lines? Curvs? I read many tutorials and i am afraid that I am doing it the wrong way, my way is to drag a guide to where i want the line to be at and trace the guide with the brush tool...is there an easier way? please help...thank you very much in advance.

if any one could give me a link to a tuturail on "Pen Tool: stroke path" your help would be greatly appreciated

just hold down Shift as you're drawing the line - it will be straight...as for the pen tool and curves....after you make your curve - stroke it...
