Hi

Could somebody take a look here

http://www.omegadm.co.uk/delete.jpg

I want to delete part of the transparent swirl so it butts up against the blue guide.

This is the first time i have used Freehand and i have tried everything.

Each object you see is on a different layer (including the blue panels).

Please help!

Thanks in advance.

Well, assuming its a path, couldn't you just use the subselect tool and edit the points by moving them back? Also, again assuming its a path, if you select the whole path, there should be a tool called slice. You can use that by dragging above to below, along where you want to slice. Then unselect, then click the part that you want gone and it should be seperate from the rest of the swirl so you should be able to just delete it. hope that helps :D

I tried the knife tool but soon as you set some points it deletes the whole image.

The other way is not that accurate either any other ideas?

I have managed to do it using the eraser. there must be more of an intuitive way to do it, like you can in Adobe Illustrator
