genuine fractels

Just wondering if anyone can help me with a problem I have with the Genuine Fractels plug-in? I've been using it for quite a while with no problems at all, but now when I try to bring in a photo, PhotoShop tells me it does not recognize the extension. I tried re-installing GF... same results.
Can anyone tell me where to go (in PhotoShop 7) to find the list of extensions that PhotoShop will accept? Thank you.

Not off hand - but a speculative guess would be the preferances file. Options>Pref
