Just a question that popped into my head. Does having a lot of brushes and or actions loaded slow down photoshop?

only when opening up photoshop itself being that it has to read all the things that are in its folder.. but it usually isnt that bad.. and if it is you probably need more memory (RAM)

You can only upgrade to DDR if your motherboard supports it. If you are currently using sdram, then you wouldnt be able to install ddr ram. 512 isnt bad. I have 512 ddr in one and 512 sdram in another. Just watch your task manager (if on windows.) Chances are you run about 100-128 for the OS and processes. PS doesnt use that much (when sitting idle in memory.) and as far as loading brushes and actions. You will only see a decrease in your start up time. It has to load all those into memory. But it wouldnt be a significant amount.
