hey

can anyone tell me how to make a brush or which brush to use in PS7 to represent a pencil?

example, with a pencil if you dont press on hard its a low opacity but harder you press the higher the opacity (also thicker but that's just reality)

help !! cheers

It's more of a hardware / driver question..
I suggest you get a tablet, they aren't the expensive.

A mouse's button is either on or it's off. :|

Yes it is. It is a Wacom.

Ok, here's what you do. The pressure thing is a setting in Photoshop

Go to Window>Brushes (Show brushes fer PC, I think. It's been a while) and odds are, you'll see a table with all yer standard preset brushes.
On the left, you'll see a listing that says this:

Brush Presets

Brush tip shape

[ ]Shape Dynamics

[ ]Scattering

[ ]Texture...and so on

You want to click Shape Dynamics. Toward the top, under a slider for size jitter, you'll see a pulldown menu that says Control. The third one down will say pen pressure, after off, and fade. Click pen pressure, and experience the magic of pressure sensitive graphics tablets.

But, we're losing sight of what's important here, and that's the fact that I know something Paavo, and apparently 47 other people, don't : )

the preassure thing in photoshop was on by default for me, but it wouldn't work until I installed the drivers and the tablet software.
Photoshop can't communicate with the pen of the wacom and it's tip without the drivers. That's what I meant.

errr... yeah. The most obvious reason that 47 people looked at this thread and nobody replied is that nobody felt like replying.
