"Sloppy Border" effect & Photoshop...

hi. does anyone know how to create a professional looking 'sloppy border' around a digital photo using Photoshop???

do you have an example of what you mean? because there's quite a few different ways to make a border :\
I'm not sure if this is what you want for an effect..
but you could try.. *thinks*
start by selecting the image..
then make a new layer new layers are fun!..
then stroke, (find a size that works for you :D perhaps 30?)
THEN once you have your nice stroke select the inner half of it
then right click and select inverse.//
after go to filter distort ripple :D
it looks sorta nice :\ I guess !.. have fun.
