How can I scan a picture in a magazine, and get rid of the 'dots'

Dots? Please elaborate (I'm assuming you already have the image scanned and you just want to know how to touch it up?)

What you are seeing is a Moiré pattern. If your scanner does not have Descreen: 1. Scan at a high resolution (DPI). 2. Use PS to blur the scan just enough to get rid of the moiré pattern. 3. Resample or resize the scan to the size you want. 4 Refocus the scan by using UnSharp Mask. |
