Photoshop crashes whenever I choose brightness/contrast or color balance from either the adjustment layers menu or the adjustment menu. And it isn't a true freeze, I can still minimize the window, but I can't close it (greyed over). I can't click any of the items on the tool bar, but they change on the rollover. I can click the file..., edit..., etc. menus, but all of the options are greyed out. Wierd type of program freeze. 'I have restarted, but short of reinstalling, what should I do? tom |

Make sure you have enough room for your scratch disks. Dedicate a partiton to PS. I can use anywhere up to 600 megs when I am doing a lot of work with it.

My PS crashed many times a day too, I have 1024MB Ram and much space for PS. And I do not know what to do. I have to restart it. May be because of the one time burnt of my computer when I put everything together myself. (Shocked) CanĀ“t help you much Patuwe |

its not necessarily what you got in your comp (but that does play an affect) but in ps itself you can choose how much room you want it to take.... kind of like your graphics car you can choose how many MB it can use to smoothen out textures and what not... in ps you can choose how much of your memory its allowed to take up .. where to find it? good question.. i forgot lol
