I am no expert, but I think you have to experiment with layer modes and opacity for this effect. As well as some fading. Do you have the images you want to merge together?

Oh, I did that wrong. Didn't see the second image under the first. Do you want that effect on a mouseover or a click?

Well im confused as hell...and i dont see anything but i know how that kinda effect is achieved. It has to do with a black and white grid. (dont quote me on this next part) but basically the black squares represent 1 picture...the white squares represent another picture. So unselected....you see the black picture with white squares....selected....you see the white picture with black squares. It's the same kinda idea as inverting.

should be yes...

well if you look at the picture you can see her face..
i tried this with the grid and its very very difficult because
de picture should have lot of colors and difference ...
on every unicolor area you can see the hidden pic.

once i got a picture in a word file
and if you changed the brightness and lumination there was
also another pic...

very very cool stuff.. hidden pics in pics...

Here is a quick attmpt. Doesnt quite work well..i accidentally inverted the 2nd pic..so to see the 2nd image...up the contrast and lower the brightness. It will then pop right out

The way i did this:
Layed down a 1x1 grid (black). Pasted a photo underneath. Selected the grid (select the black) and used that to cut a pattern out of the photo. Then i inverted the grid (black is now white) selected the grid again and used it to cut a pattern into the 2nd image. Then the image i want on top i up the staturation...the image behind it i lowered the opacity. This is just a quick and dirty try. There are better ways to do it (just gotta experiment)

Bird image in SkyScraper

Btw the bird is a flamingo. Its an odd picture to use (it would be hard to see if i didnt tell you its a flamingo) but it was the first one i came across

yessss... i did it.. after a long try.. now i know how ....

... the image gets sharper if you dont use a grid..
just every second pix must be white... then it works... much better
and if the second image is only black-white... --->much better.. ;)

The hidden image trick is pretty easy to do.. It took me less than 10 minutes to figure it out..

Here is the result... I may post the step y step infos here if you guys really need to know it.. But, you all should be able to figure it out..

The more the demand is high, the more chance I will take a bit of my time to make a step by step tut..
