If you go to the Adobe Studio Exchange (free membership, registration required) you'll see all sorts of goodies for free download. Have a look at all the sets of (vector format) Custom Shapes for use in Photoshop. I think I recall seeing sets of silhouettes like you're looking for. If you don't find them there, try a Google search using the search string: Photoshop "Custom Shapes" download. |

It should be a part of the FAQ here to go to that site. I spent a few hours there and had to rush through some of the stuff. It is probably one of the biggest resources for PS and Illsutrator I have seen.

hey VFX are u refrring to something along the lines of a silohotte (sp?).... like the ones in my image below??? If so... heres all I did.... 1. get some half decent quality photos of the postions your looking for.... 2. then trace around the figures either using the Polygonal Lasso tool or the Pen Tool. 2a. Zoom in at say 400% works best for both tools (depending on the resolution of you original reference pics) If using the Polygonal Lasso tool, simply trace around the figure until your selection is complete, then right click, choose fill. 2b. If using the Pen Tool, again trace around the figure until vector path is complete. Then use the Convert Anchor Point tool to adjust ne curves. Polygonal Lasso tool may be easier if your intimated by the Pen Tool or if ya need a quick selection. hope that helps cheers heathrowe |
