i saw this tutorial at http://www.bluesfear.com/tutorials/matrix.htm

i have version 6.0. and those directions are for a different one. i was wondering if someone could help me out doing the matrix style w. 6.0? thnk you

No need to. Everything in that tut is exactly the same as v. 6.0. Just follow the directions :-)

but w. my photoshop. under filter, there is no texture and grain.

It's not directly under filter. You click filter >> texture >> grain. If you mean that it's grayed out then go to image >> mode >>RGB color. That should work. Hope this helps.
