Interesting how you have such a disclaimer, but you have a site whose header is incredibly (and i think non-coincidentally) similar to that of this forum.

One more thing, the time that you took to explain that tutorial, as well as the method in which you do it, is wayyyyyyyyyyyy too long.

A tutorial for that very effect should be at most 2 steps.

Hell, it could be done in 1.

I'm sorry if you thought I was trying to insult you, which I was not.

I'm just pointing out that your site looks incredibly like this one. Never said you copied.

Plus, Yes, your tutorial is fair and easy to follow, but i'm saying, it's too long!! You came here asking for critiques, and that's it.

I mean, you made it so that you are using the polygon tool to achieve an effect that is done much easier and quicker with the marquee tool. You are doing it in another method that is so deviated from the shortest path that it is cumbersome.

I dont understnad why you take such a sarcastic tone, after all, your tutorial is (imo anyway) too long and thus inefficient.

And if you found my critique harsh, you can ask the people of this forum... that's how I do all my critiques. I'm not picking on you specifically or anything.

One more thing... sorry, i didn't look at your number of posts.
In any case, Welcome to the forum! :D

LOL, well anyway I'am edgy as I've being up all night do My site, I do realise that it ahs a similar header, so it has being removed from the final product, but with no intentions was I ment to copy someone elses work.
And yes I suppose it was lengthy, and I know of easier ways but when i was a newb (still am) I found it easier to do longer ways as this lead me to find out more things/enhancements with the software.
And I dont really think I'am entirly mature enough to be here anyway :P (16) I can get abit lost with all these complex words.

p.s thanks for the welcome

lol your not young at all dont worry lol i think the tutorial is great and like you said that it is easier to do longer ways as this lead me to find out more things/enhancements with the software this isvery true and this is why in think that tutorial is good.. you go through so many different windows that i new users will not only know patterns but they will know how to rasterize use marquee and how to use the layer styles for different things than drop shadows. GJ keep up the good work

Welcome to the forum

First of all supahsekzy is right - I think the tutorial would be great if you went with the rectangular marquee tool instead of the shape thing that need removing of anti-aliasing... (that you mention as Anti-lising??)

But besides from that (and that the header looks toooo much as this forums) I like the clean and simple look...
