I am new in learning PS, I am curious how would go about how you could delete a backgrounda round a photo (for example a celeb witha terrible background) and wanted do put it on your own. http://www.rav-ished.net/images/tablebg.jpg This webmaster has done it, I heard you have to use some sort of brush. Thanks Dax |

There's a lot of different ways... You could select the background with the magic wand tool... if the background is not too many different colors and with a lot of details.. You could also select the person(s) with the lasso or polygonal lasso tool... (and invert the selections if you'd like) You could make a selection through the Quick mask mode... You could use the extract function.. You could erase the background with the eraser tool... You could use the background eraser tool... You could move the whole image to another image and add a layermask and paint in black on the things you wanna "remove" ... or use the selection tools in the layermask also, and fill the selections with black... you could do it with channels (really not a great way to start Did I forget something? Anyway, I would start with learning the selection tools if I were you - and then maybe the feather option and "select - modify" options.. |
